That's a great note you added at the end re: safety. Whenever I preach the joys of solo travel, I always think of how challenging it must be for women. I wonder, does that limit some destinations you can safely visit?
Safety is so interesting. For the most part, I feel safer in the majority of Europe than I do the US...however, I still utilize the same general woman safety rules. There are definitely places I would never travel to. That being said, I have seen a handful of solo female travelers head to those places.
I very much agree! It gives you the opportunity to learn who you are as a traveler and how you like to manage the experience, so you definitely become picky about who will join you on that journey!

It is one of life’s greatest joys, and it makes you really selective about who you are willing to travel with!
