While this is a good “getting there” start….you didn’t actually do anything or really experience Bruges! We were just there for four nights and found Bruges utterly charming. Take a canal tour, see the Madonna and Child at the Museum of the Church of Our Lady, buy a museum pass (Musea Brugge Card) and visit as many of the wonderful museums and attractions as you can (we visited Groeningemuseum, Gruuthusemuseum, Sint-Janshospitaal and Stadhuis among others), take a free Bruges walking tour with a great guide and sign up for a workshop where you actually learn to make Belgian chocolate (instead of just eating it). While I’m not a beer drinker, the Kriek (cherry ale) was delicious, and yes, have a waffle….sitting down. ☺️
